Star Galore was founded in 1998 by Dr. Richard Neel. We are dedicated to selling authentic, accurately graded investment quality Star products. Dr. Neel has been involved in the sports card business since 1986 as a Star Company mail-order dealer and active on the national Midwest card show circuit. He is presently employed as a history instructor at Ball State University, and is completing a reference book on Star Company Basketball.

The Star Company - From 1983 thru 1995, Star Company produced a number of limited edition baseball and basketball products meant to combat the overproduction trends in the hobby. In 1983, the Star Company became the NBA's licensed basketball card distributer, ushering in "the Jordan era", issuing their team sets and subsets is sealed polybags. Later, Star Company introduced a number of new innovative ideas including glossy sets, ad cards, promo cards, and certificates of authenticity.
